Klinger Middle School is a safe, caring community where every student is welcomed, challenged and supported during this irreplaceable transitional time from elementary school to high school. Our student body consists of 6th, 7th and 8th graders. We serve Upper Southampton, Warminster, Ivyland and a small part of Huntingdon Valley. Klinger is one of two middle schools in the Centennial School District, the other is Log College Middle School in Warminster. Our school seeks success for all students in our community. Together with parents and the community, Klinger Middle School is committed to a positive behavior support system that rewards students for exhibiting their BEST behavior in:

At Klinger, we practice the strategies of being Respectful, Responsible, Reliable, and Safe. Respectful: means that we are all kind to one another. We all have our strengths and challenges and at Klinger, we celebrate the successes and help one another with our challenges. Next is Responsible: from taking care of your Chromebook to working hard, having fun, and being nice, we trust you with much responsibility. You can count on the adults at Klinger, and likewise, we can count on you. We will all be Reliable: ready, willing, and able to help and always doing our best. Finally, we always remember to be Safe: make sure you look out for one another. With our virtual start this year, we will continue to honor these practices. One of the best ways to achieve success and maximize your middle school experience is to get involved. We have many student clubs and organizations, ranging from the Reading Olympics to FIRST Lego Robotics. We also have several sports teams and a wonderful fine arts program, so getting involved is easy to do! While we do not know exactly what these clubs, sports, and activities will look like in our virtual world, we know that we will have many opportunities for you to be involved! Our Klinger team of faculty and staff loves what we do and is eager to make this year awesome!

We currently serve approximately 600 students in grades sixth through eighth. As the administrative team, we are honored and excited to work side-by-side with such a dedicated professional team of teachers, counselors and support staff who believe that our children come first in all aspects of educational and extracurricular programming. We currently offer an array of academic services for students including but not limited to: special education programs, support services for English Language Learners (ELL) and gifted services. We also offer a myriad of extracurricular activities; this includes after school clubs for all students and various athletic opportunities for seventh and eighth-grade students under the guidelines of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA).

One of our paramount core values is our shared responsibility (students, parents, teachers, counselors and administrators) in addressing the many complexities of encouraging and fostering success for middle school students. Our Home and School Organization includes dedicated members who provide input, volunteering, and generosity to support Klinger students and staff.

Klinger's instructional programming, extracurricular opportunities, and student services are closely aligned with the Middle-Level Concept as follows:

• Focuses on the student's personal development through collaborative instruction and integrated learning
• Emphasizes reading, writing, computing, problem-solving, research skills and critical thinking
• Provides the opportunity for exploration in the arts, vocational and extracurricular areas
• Offers the chance for every student to have at least one meaningful connection with an adult at school through our Student Mentoring Program.
• Stresses the importance of communication and interaction among parents, students, teachers, counselors, and administrators.
