Welcome back Klinger Families to the 2022-2023 school year and welcome all 6th grade students and new students to Klinger Middle School! While school sure is different this year, our commitment to support our students and school is as strong as ever! The Home and School Association (HSA) is excited to begin planning for the 2022-23 school year, and it starts with asking each Klinger family to be a member of the Home and School Association. While the activities for this year may be different, our goal is to make this year memorable and exciting for our kids. Now more than ever, it is important to provide our students and staff with the support they need to be successful during these unprecedented times.
In past years, the cost of a membership to the HSA was $10 per family. In consideration of the current economic climate, this year we are welcoming all families to be members of the HSA by simply submitting the membership form. In lieu of the required fee, we are asking for a voluntary donation with your membership. There is no set amount, but rather, we ask that you donate what your family feels comfortable providing.
This year's HSA Membership Drive is critical to fund all that we do for the school each year. It also determines the amount of fundraising needed for the balance of the school year. In years past our membership numbers have been low, but our goal is to change that this year by communicating the significance of all that HSA does for our school. Here are some of the programs and events ran and funded by HSA:
- One Book, One School
- Grade level end-of-year picnics
- 8th grade celebrations and student gifts
- Veteran's Day assembly
- Teacher appreciation luncheons
- Teacher grants for special projects
- Assemblies on various topics
- Assistance with Student Council dances/socials
- Fulfilling funding requests for various clubs, new activities, building improvements, etc.
None of these enriching activities are possible without support from you! Support comes in many forms. We ask that you donate for your family and possibly consider covering a family that cannot donate at this time. Most importantly, we want you to know that we equally value your donation of your time and talents! We have many ways to volunteer and get involved.
The Klinger HSA meetings are held the 4th Monday of every month (unless moved for holiday, weather, etc.) at 6:30pm. The meetings for this school year are as follows:
